In cooperation with the Chair of Laser Technology (LLT), the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT)—Europe’s leading center for contract research and development in the field of laser technology—is offering the opportunity to write a thesis on the topic: The Influence of Small Focus Diameters on the Geometry and Quality of Laser Welds. The miniaturization of laser welds is crucial for various applications such as electromobility (fuel cells and batteries), medical technology, electrical engineering, as well as the jewelry, precious metals, and watchmaking industries.
