Job TitleInternship: Commercial Strategy & Sales (Dutch speaking)Job DescriptionStart Date: September/October 2026Duration: 6 monthsType: Internship (thesis is possible, but there is a dedication to learn something and help the team with operational tasks)Weekly Presence: 40h (minimum 32h)Location: 3x per week (1 day in Amsterdam, 1 day in Best, 1 day up to the intern)Please note: you need to be officially enrolled at the university for the whole internship duration. As a Commercial Strategy & Sales Intern, you'll work on real business challenges, collaborate with experienced commercial leaders, and contribute to decisions that drive growth with some of the largest retailers in the Benelux. This role is designed for students who are eager to learn, take ownership, and make a visible impact.You'll gain hands-on experience in sales, account management, business analytics, customer strategy, and emerging technologies such as AI. Along the way, you'll build a strong professional network, receive direct coaching, and develop skills that will accelerate your future career.Your role:As part of the Personal Health Benelux commercial team, you will support key business priorities while taking ownership of projects that create measurable value for both Philips and our customers.Account Management & Commercial StrategySupport the development of customer account plans and growth strategiesAnalyze market developments, customer performance, and competitor activitiesPrepare insights and recommendations for business reviews and customer discussionsContribute to strategic projects that improve commercial performanceData, Analytics & AITransform sales and market data into actionable business insightsBuild and improve dashboards, reports, and performance analysesExplore how AI and digital tools can support commercial decision-makingIdentify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance business intelligencePortfolio & InnovationSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and launch preparationsMaintain assortment overviews, listings, and product informationParticipate in innovation planning sessions and portfolio discussionsCustomer Engagement & Commercial ExcellencePrepare customer presentations and commercial updatesJoin customer meetings, business reviews, retailer visits, and innovation sessionsCapture actions and insights from meetings and ensure effective follow-upSupport customer events and cross-functional projectsSupply Chain & Forecast SupportHelp identify out-of-stock and overstock risksSupport forecast discussions with commercial insights and data analysisWork with multiple stakeholders to improve business planning and executionYou're the right fit if:You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commercial Economics, Administration, Business, Economics, Finance, Data & Analytics or related studies.You have strong Excel and PowerPoint skillsYou have analytical mindset and affinity with (processing) dataYour are fluent in Dutch and EnglishYou have an interest in sales, strategy, analytics, and commercial leadershipWhat Makes This Internship Different?Real Business ExposureYou will work directly with Key Account Managers, commercial leaders, and leading retailers in the Benelux. In addition, we also want to renumerate you well for the opportunity. This includes:Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level. If you need to relocate to The Netherlands specifically for the internship there will be a different allowance. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip).Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance.Paid holidays per internship term.The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shopHow we work togetherWe believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
