Work environment Apply now and help shape the future of electric drives based on your thesis: Our department “Development of E-Drives, Power Electronics, and Transmissions” within Group Components at the Kassel site holds group-wide responsibility for the development of all future pulse inverters (PWR) for electric drives. We are shaping the future of mobility by consistently transforming our innovations into cost-effective products and continuously improving existing ones. #pushthepulsePossible tasks within this role Developing an AI-based method for generating hardware test cases Automating the execution of test specifications for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA testing) Analyzing and deriving executable test sequences from requirements and circuit data Supporting series development in compliance with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 Assisting in the planning, execution, and documentation of hardware tests Qualification requirements Enrolled Students (also in a Gap Year) in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or similar fields Good to very good academic performance Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives, hardware development, or similar areas is desirable Knowledge of MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and Microsoft Office is preferred German and English language level B2 Valid driver’s license (Class B) required The following documents must be submitted with your application Curriculum Vitae Current certificate of enrollment Current academic transcript Work permit for non-EU citizens In case of a compulsory internship, a certificate from the university Keywords Machine Learning Engineering, Test Case Generation, Embedded Systems Testing, AI in Engineering, Model-based Development, Automation Engineering, Hardware Verification, Smart Testing, Data-driven Testing, Digital ValidationThe gross hourly wage for internships (including mandatory internships) and thesis projects is equal to the current minimum wage.
