Project description
„Forschung für die Zukunft“ lautet das Credo unseres Fraunhofer-Instituts für Werkzeugmaschinen und Umformtechnik IWU. Das Pultrusionsverfahren sticht in der Faserverbundfertigung aufgrund seiner Wirtschaftlichkeit im Vergleich zu anderen Fertigungsprozessen stark heraus. Neben sehr hohen mechanischen Eigenschaften der erzeugbaren Strukturen kann es vor allem hinsichtlich Nachhaltigkeit punkten. Innovative Entwicklungen eröffnen neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten vom Mobilitätssektor bis hin zur Bauindustrie. Trotz der scheinbaren Schlichtheit bei der pultrusionstechnischen Fertigung kommen hierbei eine Vielzahl an Herausforderungen auf kleinstem Raum zusammen und lassen bis heute noch viel Platz für innovative Ideen und Lösungen.
