Project description

Want to help shape the future of Financial Markets? This is your opportunity.During the Financial Markets Tribe internship programme, you will gain hands-on experience in one of the teams that builds, runs, and continuously improves ING’s Financial Markets business. You will contribute from day one in a dynamic, international environment at the intersection of markets, clients, products, data, technology, risk, and operations.About INGING’s purpose is ‘Empowering people to stay a step ahead in life and in business.’ Every ING colleague is given the opportunity to contribute to that vision. We champion self-reliance and foster a collaborative and innovative culture. The Orange Code is our global manifesto for how we stay true to our purpose and our traditions of reinvention and empowerment. It consists of ING Values (we are honest; we are prudent; we are responsible) and ING Behaviours: (you take it on and make it happen; you help others to be successful; you are always a step ahead). The opportunityOur Financial Markets Tribe internship programme is a full-time experience of 6 to 10 months with a steep learning curve. You will join the Pricing Core team, with opportunities to learn from or contribute to related teams across the tribe. The programme gives you a broad understanding of how Financial Markets serves clients and how ideas are translated into reliable, scalable solutions. From day one, you will work on meaningful assignments, receive guidance from experienced colleagues, and take part in learning and networking activities that provide insight into different parts of Financial Markets and ING.About Financial Markets (FM)Financial Markets (FM) is part of ING Wholesale Banking. It combines client coverage, markets expertise, product capabilities, data, technology, quantitative modelling, risk management, and operational support to serve clients across regions and asset classes.FM helps clients access markets, manage financial risks, raise funding, invest, and execute transactions. Within the Financial Markets Tribe, teams across product, Front Office, quantitative modelling, engineering, data, risk, and operations work together to improve the end-to-end journeys that support pricing and transaction execution. As an intern, you will see how client and business priorities are translated into tribe objectives, prioritised backlogs, and controlled, resilient, and scalable solutions.Possible CJE internship focus areasYour assignment will be matched to your strengths and interests and will reflect the work of a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) in the tribe. You could help identify stakeholder and user needs, analyse an end-to-end journey or process, translate insights into clear requirements, support prioritisation and delivery, and help ensure that solutions are adopted and deliver measurable value.Potential CJE activities include:Customer and stakeholder needs: gathering input from users and stakeholders, analysing pain points, and clarifying the outcomes to be achievedJourney, process, and requirement analysis: mapping current ways of working, identifying improvements, and translating needs into clear requirements, user stories, or acceptance criteriaDelivery and collaboration: supporting backlog refinement and prioritisation, coordinating with product, technology, data, quantitative, risk, and operational colleagues, and tracking actions, dependencies, and risksValidation and adoption: helping test solutions, collecting feedback, preparing communications or guidance, and monitoring whether the change delivers the intended business and user outcomesWorking across the Financial Markets value chainSuccessful Financial Markets solutions depend on close collaboration between commercial, product, technology, data, quantitative, risk, and operational teams. Your internship may sit within one discipline, but you will learn how decisions and deliveries connect across the wider tribe. What you will gainYou will gain practical experience in a complex, fast-moving business, build your understanding of financial markets, and develop skills in analysis, communication, collaboration, and delivery.
