In our creative and highly skilled team we develop, design, build and test new concepts and prototypes of physical and digital powertrains or electrical devices. Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (e‑NVH) is a key challenge in modern electric traction machine design. Machine design parameters such as rotor and stator geometry features, slot/pole combinations, magnet arrangement, and others can significantly influence electromagnetic force generation, structural vibration, and radiated acoustic noise. This thesis aims to investigate how machine design parameters affect the e‑NVH performance of traction machines using Multiphysics simulation framework. The work will focus on understanding the links between machine design features, electromagnetic forces, structural dynamics, and acoustic response.Your role and responsibilitiesConduct a literature review of e‑NVH mechanisms and noise reduction techniques in electric machines.Perform electromagnetic simulations for e-NVH analysis of traction machines.Investigate the influence of machine design parameters on e‑NVH performance.Analyze the link between machine design features and e-NVH using appropriate simulation and post-processing techniques.Identify promising design solutions.
