## Join our Team #### About this opportunity: The HW Transfer Service manages the movement of hardware between R&D laboratories, storage locations, and other operational environments. The service involves multiple stakeholders, processes, systems, data flows, and handovers. This thesis will investigate how artificial intelligence, automation, and digitalization can improve the service’s efficiency, scalability, traceability, and user experience. The work will include an end-to-end assessment of the current service and the development of a proof of concept for one selected use case. The expected outcomes include an assessment of the current service, a prioritized set of improvement opportunities, evidence-based recommendations, and a validated proof of concept. The thesis will conclude with a written report, presentation, and handover of the results and proof of concept. #### What you will do: During the thesis, you will: * Map the end-to-end HW Transfer Service, including stakeholders, workflows, systems, data flows, and handovers. * Assess the current performance and user experience. * Identify bottlenecks, process gaps, inefficiencies, and manual activities. * Investigate opportunities for AI, automation, and digitalization. * Prioritize potential improvements based on value and feasibility. * Select and implement a proof of concept for one use case. * Evaluate the proof of concept and its potential impact on efficiency and user experience. * Develop recommendations and a roadmap for future improvements. * Present your findings and document the work in a written thesis report. * Hand over the proof of concept and relevant documentation. #### The skills you bring: This opportunity is suitable for one or two Master’s students studying computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, information systems, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. We are looking for candidates with: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Good communication skills. * An interest in process improvement, digitalization, AI, and automation. * The ability to understand and analyse processes, systems, and data flows. * An interest in developing and evaluating practical solutions. * The ability to work independently and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
