Internship: Procurement Logistics & Packaging Are you a motivated student with a passion for procurement, data analysis, sustainability, and process improvement? Join the Procurement Logistics and Packaging Organization in dsm-firmenich for an internship where you will help identify packaging opportunities and bottlenecks across the EMEA region in alignment with the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement, packaging, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making while contributing to impactful projects in an international environment. What You’ll Do During your internship, you will develop a centralized procurement database for packaging data aligned with PPWR requirements, together with a comprehensive repository of packaging specifications and other certificates. You will contribute to the systematic organization and structuring of packaging information to enhance visibility, support regulatory compliance, and enable informed decision-making across the EMEA region. The database will provide the procurement organization with the insights needed to identify PPWR-related opportunities and potential bottlenecks. Key Achievements End Goals: \- Built a procurement centralized database in supports to PPWR and repository of packaging specifications, improving accessibility of information and supporting PPWR compliance efforts. What We Offer \- Data Analytics: Develop skills in analyzing datasets and translating insights into actionable business recommendations. \- Regulatory & Technical Knowledge: Gain a practical understanding of how to interpret packaging technical specifications and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), one of the key new EU regulations shaping packaging requirements and sustainability practices. \- Procurement & Packaging Operations: Develop an understanding of packaging operations, supplier-related information, and packaging processes within a global procurement organization. \- Digital Tools: Build practical experience with Power BI, Power Query, and data modelling techniques. \- International Environment: Experience working in a global organization while collaborating with procurement packaging and internal stakeholders across the EMEA region. What You Bring \- Field of Study: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science & AI, MSc Decision Making, or a related analytical field. - Experience: Basic experience with data processing using Excel or other analytics and visualization tools. \- Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, structured way of working, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive and collaborative mindset. Eligibility criteria and conditions: * Language requirements: Fluent in English. * Final Selection Day: 01.12.2026 in dsm-firmenich office in Maastricht. * Start of the internship: 01.02.2027 * Duration: 6 months. * Studies: currently enrolled at Maastricht University or Zuyd Applied Science University (hogeschool). Your university will cosign the internship agreement. * Location: dsm-firmenich Maastricht office. * Compensation: Internship salary is €550 per month.
